Train the behavior (sit) first, don’t worry about adding thecommand until the dog understands what he has to do to get thetreat.Start in a quiet location with a handful of treats. Hold a treat in your hand and let your dog smell it.Thenslowly move your hand up and over his head so he has to look upto follow your hand.At this point he will sit or back up.
